Gulshan-e-Roomi Owners get plots after 31 years

The Gulshan-e-Roomi project was launched by Humair Associates in 1978 comprising 2,600 plots. The project was scheduled for completion in 1983, but even after a lapse of about 31 years, the plots were not handed over to the original allottees.

The aggrieved allottees had lodged complaints with NAB Sindh, which initiated an inquiry into the case in 2008. After taking possession of the record of the case from the developer and conducting a formal inquiry, the developer finally came forward to handover the physical possession of the plots to the allottees.

The NAB Sindh facilitated the process, and the project developer gave an undertaking, under which he obliged to hand over the plots to the allottees at the original rates.

The allotment of 200 plots of Gulshan-e-Roomi, near Malir Cantt was handed over to their original owners at a ceremony held on Tuesday under the aegis of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Sindh.

  1. It has been acknowledged that the Malir Cantonment Board has issued N.O.C. on 06th of October 2010 for construction work. The Plot owner's can now submit their construction plan to get approval from the Malir Cantonment Board for their respective construction of their plot.
    This is how this news has been spread through Estate Brokers and Agents dealing with GE Roomi plots.

    It's true that the project has been kept pending for a considerable time. The patient of the Plot owner was in a real sense well tested. But at last they are now relieved and rewarded for all those waiting patiently.

    It’s the time that Umair Associates would helps and cooperate the plots owners to provide all kind of assistance which they neglect to do so in the past. They are accountable and answerable to Allah Almighty (if they realized it) for their earning on this project.

    It could be that all are hoping for the best and may Allah help to offer patient every plot owner.

    I, SABIR S/O SHERALI (ALLOTTEE IN GULSHAN-E-ROOMI HOUSING SCHEME , M/S. HUMAIR ASSOCIATES, 10TH FLOOR, KASHIF CENTER, SHAHRA-E-FAISAL) HAVE PUTUP THE CASE IN THE NAB COURT (ENCLOSED HEREWITH COURT NOTICE)
    EVEN THE HONOURABLE NAB COURT HAVE ORDERED (ENCLOSED) TO M/S. HUMAIR ASSOCIATE FOR COLLECTING THE O.D.C (OUTER DEVELOPMENT CHARGES) FROM ALLOTTEES BY PAK RS.538/- PER SQ.YD,

    EXAMPLE;
    PLOT 133.33 SQ.YD X RS.538 = RS.71731.50
    PLOT 120 SQ.YD X RS.538 = RS.64560.00

    BUT STILL M/S. HUMAIR ASSOCIATE'S MANAGER, MR. MOHAMMAD RAFIQUE IS CHEATING WITH ALL THE ALLOTTEES AND HAVE COLLECTED RS. 200,000 TO 300,000 AS O.D.C (OUTER DEVELOPMENT CHARGES), ENCLOSED SOME RECEIPTS FOR VIEW,

    ALSO MR. MOHAMMAD RAFIQUE (MANAGER) OF M/S. HUMAIR ASSOCIATES IS FURTHER CHEATING IN COLLECTING THE CHEQUE'S ON HIS PERSONAL NAME (ENCLOSED HEREWITH TWO CHEQUES) AND ISSUED THE RECEIPT ON THE NAME OF M/S. HUMAIR ASSOCIATES,

    THAT MEANS HE HAS PUTTED THE CHEQUES ON HIS PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT, AND ISSUED THE RECEIPT ON THE NAME OF M/S. HUMAIR ASSOCIATES.   9. To all, Do not waste your investment in roomi and schal sarmast town.Both are owned by humair associates and especially to those who have intentions to build house. For trading of plots you may do that but not at all for someone who wish to a house.

  14. How much are the development charges of 120, 133 & 200 sq. yards plots in Gulshan e Roomi ?
    If someone has a leased plot, how much more to spend to get the Possession Letter ?
